Krav Maga's self defence classes for children places emphasis on reducing threat, not causing harm. We teach kids that they can be strong as well as calm … powerful as well as in control.
Throughout our school holiday program, we discuss in depth the principles of 'warriors' and the importance of determination, gratitude and humility.
Not only will we be teaching awesome self-defence and physical activity but will have some 'extras' that we know the kids are going to love including Warrior face painting and board breaks.

KRAV ADULTS GRADING
A grading in Krav Maga is a test to see if a student is ready to move to the next rank and be promoted. In the grading students are tested on a particular material for that rank. The grading is designed to test students’ knowledge and also push them mentally and physically.
With Krav Maga Grading we have four pillars we focus our attention on as an assessor:
Technical Aspect (How well an individual performs the technique)
Tactical Aspect (Applying tactics to their Self-Defense)
Aggression (Consistently being assertive and demonstrating aggression with all moves)
Fitness (Having the stamina to last the duration of the grading at a high intensity)
“At KMG we try to take a segment of the grading closer to reality. But the grading is not reality and will never be. The test shows the level at what the test is checking. There’s no 100% correlation between a test and reality. Some people may be good in getting tested but may find it harder to function under real “street” conditions; some people will be the opposite. It is like certain types of athletes who are good at training but will usually fail in competition.” Excerpt from http://krav-maga.com/blog/testing-grading-benefit-failing/.
What Eyal is saying here is Grading is NOT Reality… so use it for the reasons that bests suits you, so you can measure your progression, but always train with the mindset of being able to deal with real conflict.
KRAV KIDS GRADING
A rewarding experience for students and as a result, they gain confidence from it. Students must have good attendance, behavior and have completed all homework in order to grade. They get to revise the material they have been learning in the recent months, which is a great way for children to reinforce their learning. Also, a great way to build a child’s self-esteem through achievement. We have different awards that are presented at the grading. Students need to wear full uniform or they will not be able to grade.
Grading Day can be a very exciting and rewarding event for your child – with some parents reporting their child “sleeping with their new belt for weeks after the grading”...
